The Amiga Window Manager
License: Custom
Activity Rating: Low
AmiWm is a window manager for die-hard Amiga lovers; it emulates the look of the Amiga's Workbench. It supports multiple screens, which can be dragged up and down just like on the Amiga, and different backdrops for each screen.
Here are some example configuration files, with screen shots:
- From csuxg@csv.warwick.ac.uk, added in June 1996: amiwmrc, screenshot (165k). This setup is used in conjunction with this xinitrc.
- From matt@belgarath.org, added in August 1996: amiwmrc, screenshot (117k). This uses two screens with different backdrops, and defines a key to switch screens.
- From mka42@earthling.net, added in May 1999: amiwmrc, screenshot (80k).
- From antoine.ginies@wanadoo.fr, added in November 2001: amiwmrc, screenshot (84k). The wallpaper shown in the screenshot is also available.
The latest version is available from the AmiWM WWW Page, or via ftp from ftp.lysator.liu.se.
