are alphabetical jigsaws – the clues are listed by the
first letter of their answers and you need to deduce where
they go in the grid.
In crosswords 2, 7, 12, 14, 15
and 21 a number of the clues refer to other answers in the grid.
Crosswords 3, 6, 8,
9, 10, 11, 19, 20, 23 and 24 are ordinary cryptics.
Crosswords 4,16 and 22 are plain
cryptics too but clue references and answers contain a large
number of unusual words.
Crossword 5 has a theme running
through all across clues.
Crossword 13 has a cricketing
theme.
Crossword 18 has a musical
theme.
